Default Leek engine

I picked this engine up yesterday , I,ve seen Leek engines before but not this small , the flywheels are just under 9" , anyone have an idea on the age of it ?
I will try to run it on gas , the copper tube seems to be over the intake valve , you can feel it suck when turn the flywheels .
A nice project for winter to work on in the kitchen , special permission has been granted by Mrs B

I had one about that size, dreadfully made thing - part swapped it for a Ky-Ko hot air engine!

Hi Nev,
They were available in at least 4 sizes in the same general style.
Also available and sold in large numbers as kits for the amateur engineer to build to his own design of additional bits and pieces.
Yours looks like on of the latter with a strangely placed cylinder oil hole and a built up crank.
I think I'd start with stripping the paint off and seeing what is underneath,
