Well I've got it off, Just remembered i had a homemade hammertight spanner in the tool draw. Couple of blows and it was off.

Well done.

Was going to warn that the spanners do come in different sizes, for instance the one I have doesn't actually fit Mar-Vil but as I said, never has one stick too badly - normal ring spanner and rubber mallet usually does the job.

Afternoon all, I've gotten to the stage now were i'm adding the flywheel back on. With the Mar.Vil how do you set up the timing?

Can't find my instruction leaflet at the moment (available from IF) but if I remember correctly it's simply set piston to TDC and line up marks on flywheel mag.

By the way, I have a Dextor dynamo in rather 'got at' condition and I have to thank you for the pics you are adding which should help me get it back as it should be.

Just got round to drawing the wiring diagram for the Dexter. I don't know if would help as yours has been rewired but here it is.
