Of those which I have visited regularly over the past few years, probably Ducklington https://westoxonsteam.co.uk/

The '1000' would be up there as well but I haven't been for a while.

"1000" was a big improvement last year; the changes the revitalised committee made have had a positive effect in every area, and they are to be commended. Ironically I suppose, since all the reports seem to agree, then the engine numbers may start going back up again, and the committee may need to find more room for engine pens - a nice problem to have though...

Still not my favourite rally though - I like Beaulieu just because it's "different"; it seems, so do others, because it drags out some very high quality engines.

I also enjoy Ducklington, which has a good-sized engine line, with a full spread, from the most popular to the pretty exotic.

Much the same can be said for Newby Hall, with an excellent engine line that has been going from strength to strength.

My favourite last season was Amberley, a good variety and a good atmosphere in interesting surroundings.

No real favourites as I enjoy all those we attend. Don't do the 1000 anymore as (a) it rather lost its appeal and (b) due to the date change it now clashes with Oswestry. Ducklington we always liked but accomodation in that area is just too expensive now alas. I suppose Newby, Chipping, Woodcote and Lincoln are some of the best we attend, but I enjoy the small country shows like Masham Sheep Fair and carnivals as well. Basically I'm easily pleased!

Pete.
