Default Update on S-T Spares Purchase

Things have gone a bit quiet on the S-T front, Martin (the Mar in Marlex) hasn't been able to be around as his wife is seriously ill with Cancer.

I haven't pushed it as I know how awful and disruptive this can be to any family.

I have been in touch this week through their office, and a provisional meeting set up for Tuesday next week.

We will have our end ready in time for the move.

Sometimes a bit of forced waiting time is a good thing...

Containers and transport paid for today, 2 X 20ft containers delivered to the farm, just over 3.5k.

Delivery in 7-10 days with hiab equipped truck and trailer.

Is that once used containers Peter ?
Not a bad price if it is, a little more than the yard I use pays, but he gets them 6 at a time, yards nearly full now.

I guess that's what they are, Neil, although they are fairly worn assuming the pictures are the actual items:

Both are blue, it was the carriage that clinched it, most were 450 or more per container, no reduction for two containers.

Well used then, the date of manufacture is on that alloy plate on the left door.
I have bought them used in that condition before, but not for anything like that price.

Last new one I bought was December 2015 and I paid 1900 delivered to site.

Best price we've seen was 850 for something rather less nice than the two we bought, but the carriage often costs silly money.

It's the carriage cost that make new ones from big companies so attractive.
