Default Fuel oil mix

What fuel mix do I run my fully rebuilt P5 on, engine will probably never run a full loads and hopefully never at full revs.
I'm sort of thinking 32:1 for a start ?

50:1 by the book. 1/3 pint to 2 gallon.

For light load or times with a lot of idle Stuart say more oil could be added, up to 1/2 pint in total.

By my (possibly) suspect maths 1/2 pint in 2 gallons is actually 32:1 is it not ?

Does it make a difference, was going to use standard dinosaur type 2 stroke oil

The other choice, as have a litre is Aspen ready mix 2 stroke fuel, just thought it may be a bit thin for an old engine design.

Modern stuff mixes better and burns cleaner than straight oil, the oils these were designed to run on was in use 90 years ago now.

Silver Knight do 2 stroke oil in gallon (ish) cans. I found it very reasonable price compared with other 2/ oils. (If you can get it.) I use it in TVO mix.

I suspect Phill wasn't being entirely serious; could be 32:1 if you take 2 gallon of petrol and add 1/2 pint of oil, or 31:1 if you start with the oil and make it up to 2 gallons total - see?
