Default Stuart N3 Problems

Just had my Stuart N3 Marine delivered. Cleaned the carb, magneto and spark plug. Magneto has a really fat spark. Tried to start it but bugger, it doesn t start. Its firing a big blue flame from the silencer every time I try to start it. Anything I should look for on these engines ?

Well it's getting fuel ok then! Check ignition timing.

Was going to say sounds like timing, I was getting flames from my K when it was too far advanced.

Agree with Nick and Steve - probably timing.

Mine is a fussy little thing at the best of times, one of those all or nothing engines it seems..

I was gonna touch the timing tbh but preferred to get an advice first and now that everyone is saying timing, I will do it. Will keep you all updated

Good-oh!

How does that repair to the base look now that you've seen it properly?
