Default Need info on PETTER PU8 No.F

Just bought a PETTER PU8 No.F Flat Twin Air Cooled engine. Would appreciate and info you might have about those. Was told it is a former Forces engine from the 1940s. It's in Oswestry and I'm in the STATES and won't be in the U.K. until MAY 1, 2017. Seeking specs. Also trying to find a collection and transport to get it to Dursley GLOS.
Thanks. David

Copies of the Army handbook are available from sellers on the web, I have head gaskets for them.

Unless you can narrow it down from the No.F that engine could have come from many different applications. A great pity when previous owners preserve the engine and scrap every thing else.

Lots on this forum about this type of engine and different applications.
