That's another reason I went for the 6D, it's not too big and heavy to lug round all day at a rally.

The Similarities in the engine of the Dayton to the Grigg is quite uncanny.



I've attached pictures of a Dayton and Grigg motor scooter, Dayton is Pre WW1 Grigg is post.

Nice pictures Jules - several engines there that I recognise, including Simon's Shanks diesel. Wacky thing with a vertical cam shaft.

Think nothing of it Pete, it's a forum, and discussion is what it's for. It's only like having a chat in the pub over a beer, or over the fence with a neighbour... and how many times does that ever stay on exactly the same topic all the way through?!

Some nice photos of early motorcycles being posted too... not sure I'd want to be travelling too fast in that wicker side-car though! Chicken in the basket wouldn't be in it!
