Lovely to see another unmolested engine. Things will become clear as to the ID.

Hi everyone

Managed to get the lister home early instead of Friday today and a two hour traffic jam threw woodhead pass ant tintwhisle took around 6 hour round trip instead of 3 hours

Had a good look round it when we were at the farm and the more I look at it the more i think its a lister LH and unfortunately its carb.exhaust.some studs and cyclander head nuts and its spec plate couldn't be found enywere on the farm as the family was quite nice and let me look in all there barns and sheds.

Will I was on the farm looking threw the barns some that hadn't been open for the last 10 plus we found the owners think is its water pump looks a h series lister pump as it was quite big made and made the h1 pump I had look like a little model and made a deal with the owners and have wait a couple of months till they clear the old barn out saw hopefully will have its original pump fingers crossed

The only information I could get off the family is that there great grand father got the engine and that 50 years stripped it to put a new head gasket on it and never did anything since with it and just been sat in the barn for 50 plus years and that he told them that it had very little work since new

Hopefully later this week I can find a searal number on the flywheel and see if can date threw the lister time tables

Also there is magneto but couldn't find a maker plate think its a bth mag

Any info will be much appreciated

Will add pics in a few minutes

Cheers ant

Hi everyone

Thought I would have a hour with the lister today while the misses was a sleep and our new born son that arrived Tuesday

I wondering if anybody can help me in ID this magneto that came with it as there is know name or tag to I'D it an help with instruction manual and there is also a part missing that looks like u would screw in to it for the ht lead

I also found nice big frost crack that has been repaired in the past ( after nocking about a couple inch of dirt off it )but it unfortunately goes round the valve stem saw hoping that it was repaired properly fingers crossed

I also took some measurements of the bore wich is 5.5 inch and two inch crank

Any info will be much appreciated

Will upload picks in a few minutes
