Hi Guys,

Actually you are both on the right track.

I can confirm that both the Inverted Crossley engine number 28575, and the National, engine number 5469, which were sold at auction in Queensland, left Australia without the required export permits.

Also, on the National, engine number 101, which was withdrawn from Cheffins, apparently there is some evidence that these two Nationals are one and the same engine.

Your absolutely right, it is all driven by money!!

If people stopped buying stuff off these guys they would move on.

this sort of thing puts me off a large o/c engine, but i'd rather have a nice enclosed crank petter m or something anyway

When we take the DX8 to the rallies we take the plaques off every night and store them in the caravan where nobody can steal them off of the engine!

who are these people as i often buy engines and parts from ebay and would hate to be financing a crime ring like this. surly thats why we are all in this comunity to help each other. Boycot these people!

An update on this issue:

Some of the engines in question are being returned to the UK by the Crown Prosecution Service.

Both the defendants have entered a plea of 'not guilty'.

The trial is set to commence 28 June and end 02 July.
