Default Big end split pin removal

Hi all currently stripping down my latest engine ,a lister CD got to remove the piston as it was stuck, getting to removethe split pins in the big end nuts is proving to be a nightmare , access to the rear of the pin is nearly non existant and there is hardly any of the pin head to get hold of , are there any ways to get the pins out, ? the engine will be totally rebuilt so bits falling in the sump area will be cleaned out later,, thought about drilling it out ....any ideas very welcome .thanks Michael.

Just undo the nuts. The split pins should shear off.
