Only picked it up Friday after work. all I know is it's dated 1935.

It's a Lister D, they are all the same, so I wouldn't waste much time on it!

Things like this just go to show how this reliable and popular engine was adapted over the years to accommodate spec changes and/or the individual requirements of the original end user. I hope someone comes up with the answer to 'Crank's' question, thanks for posting the question and photos too.

It's a Lister D, they are all the same, so I wouldn't waste much time on it!

I would disagree, they are not all the same but they are similar, development decreed over the years that there were changes those changes however small mad them different.
