These are dead easy to take to bits but try to keep the brass shaft (part 25) screwed into the guide piston part (part 15) as they never go back in quite the same as they came out so just leave them screwed together.

The guide piston part does have its own name that escapes me at the moment.... the same as the slidy thing on steam engines
