Default Lister 9-1 torque settings

Hello,

I am searching for the torque setting for the crankshaft balance weight nuts of my Lister 9-1 (JP1) engine.
Can anyone help?

Regards, Jarne

Maybe you can tell me the type and size of the studs thread?
The crankshaft is at the machine shop at the moment.

I haven't got a JP1 book handy, only the multi-cylinder books.

I received this kind email from Martyn at Marine Power Sevices:

The torque setting for the counterbalance weight nuts is 225 Lb/ft (305nm). This is not stated in any Lister publication for these engines (no torque settings are except for cylinder heads in very late versions of the manuals) but we do have it stated in a British military overhaul specification for the JP's.

Peter: maybe you can add this to your torque reference list?

Thank you Peter and Martyn

1/2" BSP

Lister's liked to use unusual threads for balance weight retention, same on the FR series only they used 3/8" BSP
