The rough one from a few weeks back is sat on my shelf :-) Nothing a bit of paint won't fix.

Well had a good haggle with a WKAS seller last week for another piece of desk clutter:

It's a Petter diesel of some type, possibly an AV?.
Quite crudely cast, and surprisingly large at just over 3 inches tall.
The flywheel turns, but the shafts don't !

Should the tank have a bottom half ?

Don't think so, especially with the Arabic writing on it. I think kitchen implement. The feet are especially crude for a "salesman sample". There was one sold on a stall at Oakley for 50. Very similar (if not the same) as this one.

Phillip

Rhetorical question - if it was question at all. Definitely kitchen equipment, you can buy similar brand new on Amazon http://www.amazon.in/Saag-Cutter-Cha.../dp/B00WVD4ZCI

Rhetoric questioning often passes me by

That's a much better example on Amazon India.

There's one of those knocking around here if anyone feels the need for such an item. This one has a crack in one of the flywheel spokes - make me an offer.

Dan

PS - Bottle of Ale not included as I've just drunk it! :-)

I sent this picture to my Son who works in the Gulf States and has Arabic workmates. They report that the writing doesn't appear to be of Arabic origin. They think that it could be Urdu. Nearest they have in Arabic is either:-
1. "adolescence"
2. "intercessor".
