Default Sharpener

Hi All

I recently acquired this band saw sharpener

Please can someone help me with some info on this I've googled it and there is a video on U tube of a similar one I cant find anything else about it at all if some one out there has owned one or has any information about these I would be most grateful

Also I am hoping to set it up for an engine to drive but I need some idea of a suitable rpm and engine size so any advice please

I have seen a few at rallies and they run them very slowly. One local-ish chap runs his from a Petter M Benford hopper engine.

Hi Graham have only just seen this post and thought you would like to see a pic of mine. run this off all my engines and there all between 1 and 2 hp though did have it running off a 3hp Petter too

Thank for the pics

I have set mine on a tall trolley and the band saw runs around the sharpener rather than laying out in front I will post some pics in the next few days

I ran mine on a 3hp International and Fairbanks morse last year managed to pick up a reduction gearbox so it runs nice and slow hoping to try it out on a 1 3/4hp Hercules this year and see what happens
