Default Unknown small power

Seen at Oakley - 'the voices' keep whispering Madison at me but I cannot find anything similar.

Any ideas?

All it whispered to me was 600
I quite liked the look of it till I heard the whisper.

I nearly bought it a couple of months ago at auction. Sadly the flywheel is damaged and there are lots of bits missing.

Ken has had a few suggestions as to the make, including Stuart & Pelapone, but I am not convinced its either.

I'm thinking maybe Universal Motor Co, or Woolrych Street Foundry, both of Derby.

Looking at Woolrych Street Foundry Co in A-Z I see that there are strong connections to Madison so perhaps the voices weren't misleading me for once.

600? No, I didn't want it that much either but I suspect someone will eventually.

True, but they may have produced different styles over the years.
