Oh yea not expecting it to be sociable, though running on choke seems to help....

I was wondering if the little Villiers one would fit.

Just checked the condenser and it seems to be fine, charging and discharging well. Gave the points a clean and put the magneto back together. Not tried it with a plug but holding it all in my hand I'm getting a decent shock, enough to make my arm flinch with a bit of pain... might take it work on Sunday for a play.

Might be worth changing the condenser if I can find a flat rectangle one....
Is that the 1980's British Telecom motif stamped on?

Stuart.

Interesting, I wonder who made the mags (not BT!) - the points assembly at least is Lucas, shared with their face cam magnetos.

Well spark restored! Next issue... foot valve... trying to get the tap off might be an issue.

T on war-time radio sets means it was tropicalized for use in the humid climates of the Far East. May mean the same here.

Ah maybe, there were plenty of seals on the ignition lead.
