Martin,

Dont know yet because I've not seen the vehicle in the flesh, only the sellers web site where all its details are listed, MTPLM being one of them.

About 5 years ago I bought a four wheel trailer from TS White with a 2700kg gross limit. That was above the limit of my car so I had the same query. So they wrote me a letter to say I was legal as long as the overall weight was within the capacity of the car. I carry the letter with me in the give box in case I ever get stopped but so far haven't had to get it out.

Nick,

Agreed, if it all works out this will be the biggest spend I will have ever made next to buying the house and I ain't spending if I cant tow my trailer.
The next problem would be the tow bar but after a chat with Peter Forbes this morning and a look at a suggested website that's no longer an issue.

He is likely to be on the 7-day weekend if plans work out.

Philip,

As Peter suggested I'm heading towards early retirement so the van will no longer be available so I'm looking for a replacement.
