Default Stuart Sun

I have just completed this Stuart Sun marine engine. It has a 3/4" bore & stroke and was intended to drive boats up to about 4' 6" long - before the days of radio control.

Got the castings some time ago from our favourite auction site. The castings have not been available from Stuarts since the early 1970s.

And a short video:

It will happily run on less than 5 psi air. The noise in the video is from the bevel gears driving the valve rod. The compressor was shut off at the time.

I always found the Sirius/Sun quite intriguing.
