Default New project Lister D

Just bought another D type on ebay. It was only 20 mins up the road and a runner so I took a punt on it. I probably paid too much 65. But the magneto attracted me. (Not quite sure what it is but it's not an RS or SR 1) I'll be picking it up at the weekend and I'll take some more pictures.

Thanks for looking
Fred

65 seems quite OK for a running Lister D.

I must be living in the past then! Still I need to source an exhaust, chainguard and petrol tank, then build a trolley. Could be the Yorkshireman in me coming out.

To be honest the mag, if working ok, is possibly worth the 65 quid so you got the rest for free!

Pete.

I've got everything in the picture, so a non standard exhaust and tank are present.

I've got a spare Lister D chain-guard (surface rusty but solid enough) but I'd want 10 plus postage for it (I once worked with a Yorkshireman, and he taught me well!).

Thanks for the offer but I think I'll have a stab at making a chainguard, I've got some scrap sheet steel already. I'm the first Pearman born outside of Yorkshire but I'm afraid all the ey-up by 'eck etc has rubbed off on me!

No problem, thought I'd mention it.

I should think so, long gone are the days you could pick them up for a fiver, or a packet of fags...

Cheers, Steve
