Putting a mag in the airing cupboard will not fix anything, but might lead you to believe its fixed as it will dry out any damp in the windings. But then after fitting back to the engine and run for about 20 min it will die again.

Easiest & quickest solution is to check the coil, if it is open circuit or dead short the only fix worth doing is a rewind.

Default dead mag

Hi Andy look's like the coil is going to be rewound, I do have another one as well but it only gives a very weak spark so I might send them both off together someone said that there is a couple of members that can do the repair so I might get in touch with them to see if they have the time Cheer's for the input Roger
