You could have a registry meet, and aim to have a field full of Ds !

I for one would pay to see that.

Hi Timothy,
I have 7 D.s and parts of 2 others. Your project looks interesting but may I put forward the following point? Although many engines have original plates on them, lots do not have any plates at all. There are many engine cover plates for sale on eBay and at other sales etc that are obviously taken off dismantled engines complete with plates. So how can we be sure that all the engines we have with plates are original to that engine? I for one have resorted to purchasing a cover plate with serial numbers on to complete an engine that came without one which I would never show with an information placard unless it showed it was of unknown origin. Hope this is of interest to you.

My father has 4 that run and I have 3 that run and another 6 at least in bits or awaiting restoration.
