Volume 2 of the late Claude Ouachee's series of books of French engine constructors, page 200, has three pictures of a similar engine made in 1924. One is a photo of a restored engine, the other two are from a catalogue.
It is of 3hp,@ 350 rpm, bore 100mm, stroke 125mm, and pulley diameter 130mm. The engine weighs 160kgs.
L'Agro address was 19 rue Bayard, Paris.
The linkage for the "side governor" looks to be a bit of a "Chinese wire puzzle" ! and very vulnerable. Nice engine, hope to see more of it in future.

Its the only model shown in the book, a very short entry for an unusual, maybe rare, engine.

Thank you for the information ,there is very little out there on this manufacturer I have an advert for a 3 wheel tractor dated 1922 under the same name so perhaps they went bust in or around 1928 . I'm currently soaking it in degreasant as it is thick with oily dust and it appears to be painted orange underneath the gunge . The governor has had an extra element added to stop the fan belt coming of due to the fan pulley being damaged .

Nothing that can't be repaired ,adds to the challenge of restoration

Nice, I do like that. Is it a T head design with the inlet and exhaust valves on opposite sides of the cylinder?

Dan.

well after several coats of degreasing and some elbow grease you can see the orange paint , no cracks or major issues and no serial numbers anywhere .this engine has very thin flywheels but the engine is still heavy so there must be some counter weights on the crank plus with 2 camshafts there's a timing case full of gears

Dan.
Interestingly, it was an AGRO tractor which caught our eye while researching your AC / Warrick engine Dan.
