Default Lister Spares - Courier costs

Decided to replace the rusty old tank on my LR2. Spied a couple of non Lister new replacements on eBay for 60/Free Postage. Coughed up via PayPal, only to be told a short time later that another 20 was wanted ! Seemingly, the small print says that my Post Code is excluded!
Mine is an Aberdeen post code. Its the oil capital of Europe, and richest medium sized city in the UK. All other transactions I've done over the years have been with several couriers who have always treated my post code as "Mainland UK". But seemingly, not UPS. Millions of pound's worth of courier business must go through the several major courier depots in Aberdeen every day.
Has anyone else suffered this sort of post code discrimination ?

Regards, David
