Smile Restoring a lister D paint issues

I need to after ive primed it some paint wht paint can i use witch will work with cellulose primer (red oxide) any ideas guys?

you can use a good paint on top of the dried cellulose like a machine paint but not cellulose on top of an oil based paint as it acts like paint stripper so you should be ok

thanks im going to to use the red oxide to prime it then is the mid brunswick paint from http://www.stationaryengineparts.com...ne-enamel.html

Sounds like it will look nice indeed, I'm using the same paint on my Ruston at the moment but the Bronze green which looks loveley! It's craftmaster paint and I recon you could get it for less if you buy direct.

Phill, i,m doing my 8pb at mo, some parts have had four brush coats now and still dont have that deep gloss i was expecting, my paint is mid bronze from stationaryengineparts aswell , the carb has glossed up beautiful with two coats, but the mag mount and RH rear inspection door and governor casing are the ones thats needing extra paint, i wondered if anyone else has any tips on this paint, it is well stirred and am using a high quality brush, janner. p.s the flywheels will be sprayed black and 2 pack so dont have to brush paint them.

sound good my friends buying mine offl the net from the stationary engine parts so i cant wait to put it on my engine shall i add my restorationg pics on the fourom?
