Default Spark plug question

Hi, has Lister engine's got a lot of tolerances, as i have 2 with one having a Champion 8com plug & the other with Champion D23. When put together i noticed the length of the tread/reach was a good few mm longer than the other. On engines i have worked on before, if a plug difference like this was put in, it would likely go though the piston, admittedly a lot more modern engine.
Both of these plugs need replacing & i was going to try a NGK A-B6. Any suggestions would be a help.

Thanks

D21 is a good plug for lightly loaded engines. D23 is a hotter running plug and also suitable.

D16 is too cold unless you are running a loaded engine.
