Default Amanco hired man

Hello all
The time has come to look at my Amanco,I have now repaired the orignal fuel tank but the fuel pipe from the tank to the check valve was beyond repair, the metal moths had done ther best and it has just crumbled
Does any body know or can measure the pipe diameter for me?

Regards
Phil.

If it's original it will be 1/4" pipe with an NPT thread on the ends, but BSP will do the job ok.

1/4" pipe is just over 1/2" outside diameter.

Thank you Dazzla.its the pipe/tube from the tank to the check and isolation valve that I need the info for,it (or was)
Soldered into the tank and a compession fitting to the valve.
It looked a lot smaller than 1/4nb pipe,I'd have a guess at 3/8" or 5/16" od

regards
Phil.

It's not original then, so without seeing and measuring what you have there's not really a lot anyone can offer.

Originally it would be 1/4" steel pipe screwed into a fitting that's rivetted and soldered on the tank. The other end goes into a connector that screws into the check valve. There wouldn't be an isolation valve. It sounds like the set up you have is modified like most preserved engines. Arguably it's a better set up as the copper pipe is less rigid and you can shut the fuel off.
