Steve - I'm off to the pub at the bottom of my garden tonight - I'll see if the landlord has the whiskey ready.

Ken - I was a bit worried about painting it (I can get runs without even trying) but I bought some Lister Green Paint from the Vintage Paint Company (www.vintagepaint.com) and it went on like a dream, with a 1" brush.

I must admit I got a lot more enjoyment out of stripping it down and playing with the oily bits, than making it look pritty. Thats why I have only tinkered and oily ragged my other motley collection.

Have got a test/experiment coming up with Elliot (he gets results), we are each going to paint an engine part from the same engine using the same paint and compare. We will either prove my paint is cr*p or.......................... ...the other thing.
