Default lister a16

Hello all

new to site, joined as have just aquired a stationary engine. Was sitting in a barn on my uncles farm. Looking for help it is a Lister junior 3hp,
A16 sr number 71497 also has A309 cast in the top bit, sits on a wooden trolley. Can anyone tell me any history on it he had on farm from new and it last run in 1954, although he can't remember the age of it. Would like to do it up are there any books that could help and the mag needs sorting as well as a valve is stuck.

many thanks

Welcome to the Forum!

Most of those questions can be answered for you by the guys and gals on the Forum.

Dating lists are here:

http://www.stationary-engine.co.uk/E...ing/Dating.htm

Yours is around 1927, the list is not complete for 1926 on to 1930.
