6.90 will buy you a very handy book from SEM... "Stationary Engine Magazine on Belts & Belt Driving ..."has proved invaluable especially when dealing with a line shaft set up.

like you I am always on the look out for pulleys etc to make my own 'heath robinson' affair - mostly I use them to pull old carts around the garden for my kids.... safety first of course and running equipment to keep the engines running - drills, grinders, wood turning etc.
