Default Need something to grind

Hi

I'm in the last stages of a restoration on a Bamford 1C Rapid Grinding Mill.

I would like to run some material through it to see how it performs, so for the first time I would like to try some Maize (Corn). As this first ground material may be contaminated during the first trial due to oil ETC after the resto does anyone know of a supplier of spoiled animal feed who could sell me something to grind.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't know if you live in a rural or urban location? I would go into the local agricultural merchants or equipment dealer and ask for a pointer. Failing that, I would stroll into the local farmyard and ask for help.
No phone calls, no messages, emails, texts - just talk to somebody and you will be amazed just how helpful they can be!

Farmers' corn stores will be a bit empty now. But give it a week and the combines will be rolling.
