Default Stuart Turner A series water pump

Hi Guys

Could anyone advise??
The little hole on the con rod/big end of a Stuart A series water pump, should this be facing down into the oil sump so when hits oil lubes the bearing or should it be at the top?? this lines up with oil way on bearing.
I am guessing facing down but want to be sure

Cheers chris
