Default Local fun day event.

Well after a pleasant but rather showery day all went ok at the event today for rooksey and myself.

A few photos of engines we took,

Blimey Don, Mick (Rooksey's) kid still looks happy pedalling that bike! He must have got second wind since Locomotion. Nice to see the ABL Lister as well.

Pete.

He was a bit tired at end of afternoon, Mick forgot to bring him some sustenance and he was pedalling uphill as ground was slightly sloping.

Paul, thank you, we were treat like royalty, on arriving were shown to our space, plenty of it approx. 35 yds, there is room for more if needed, of already fenced off very manicured grass, a gazebo was supplied to shelter under and it was needed at times as showers were quite heavy once or twice.

Johnathon the council employee/organiser also brought us a picnic type bench to use and kept asking if we would like tea/coffee, so all in all a pleasant no hassle day, have to say Mick`s boy was the star though got plenty of interest/laughs from visitors.
We have said we will be back next year and was told anyone else is welcome with an engine [s], council will get in touch with me nearer time as far as date.

So if anyone thinks they would be interested PM me will keep it in mind to inform you nearer time with details/date etc.

Don

It was as shame about the weather but then again it is August. This is certainly a venue for the 'novelty' items, (Paul your can crusher would be great) to keep the public interested and smiling. As Don said we were treated very well by the organisers.
