Default Cast iron fuel tank

Hi all, I have this 1930 spec 18 lister A that I got running today. When I took the tank off it was very heavy and after a close look it is cast iron. I have never seen a A with a cast tank however it defiantly looks factory done. Does anyone know why this might have this tank ?

I'm thinking that it's definitely not defiant!

I don't know about your cast tank but I do know that it would be a good idea to shorten the HT lead and get it off the exhaust pipe. You don't want that to melt through and short the magneto.

Sure it's cast and not just made from heavy steel plate?

Hi, I did amend the HT lead after the video as I thought the same thing. I did think that to start with but it does look cast to me. I might be wrong and will double check.

Thanks
