Not quite the same line as a piston seized but freed up the carb slide in my big auto culto rotorvator when I got it by boiling the carb in water on the bbq. The Mrs and next door thought I had gone potty but let it stew for 10 mins and the dipped it into a bucket of cold water freed it up a treat and also helped with the cleaning of all the crud in there.
