I disagree, to stay ahead of the game the museum still has to pull in the public which pays the bills, when did you last go to the Anson, they have had at least one working for a while now....

If its that tight its the wrong size, it should be a good fit that you can pull out with a pair of pliers, grip it with mole grips and tap the grips upwards.

I regularly change battery's for my daughters Focus, son in law's Corsa and my Subaru with no problem, you just have to be quick otherwise the key looses its memory.

In my experience you cant always rely on manuals particularly when you have one that's been changed like yours. A lot of the time they tell you the basics only.

My experience is with the Siemens 420 2hp which also had its own fan, they were mounted in a IP65 cabinet because it was driving large water pumps for aquatics system, the box had forced air...

I agree with Stuart about ventilation, most of them have internal fans but the cabinet also needs a fan to draw cool air through otherwise they can and do fail through overheating.
