Yes, it would have originaly had a BTH MC2 magneto fitted, but the Wico A twin will fit in its place if you choose the one with the correct thin sheet metal base...

I don't think you can assume that a modern AC 41 spark plug is the same as an older AC D41. GSP offer a lot variants of the AC 41 plug and I bet they're not all the same .....

Googling "Wisconsin AB engine" will bring up lots of information on this engine, including a manual.

Yes, the current was measured with an in circuit test meter. We also calculated that your coil resistance must be a lot lower than ours, which is why we asked.

Update.....

OK, we bravely started throwing some voltage at it as suggested :whistle:
With 12vdc the main contacts just about held together, but soon separated...
