My engine's S/n is 1213. I expect the oil level would only be where only the dipper catches it and the rotation of the engine would through the oil away from the breather...

This project was never going to be easy and it has taken a turn for the worst. The 8 hp piston turned out to be seriously cracked and unusable. It wasn't until it was cleaned up that this was found....

Some Australian makers did work with overseas manufactures. I don't think R&T did, the Aussies on here...

It is not a rare engine This one is a 6hp, it is different to the 3 1/2 hp I restored a while back. It is not unlike a National Diesel except the head and valve chest run the other way.
