I take it the cables appearing along the wall are for sockets, are you surface mounting metalclads or letting in dry lining boxes so they are more flush (less chance of damage)

I work for JLR and even with both final assembly...

I've just looked at the pictures of my F15 which has a hole in the cowling below the switch, but yours appears to have a wire or pipe coming out of it, do you know what it is?.
