The generator is an AC generator with it's own DC...

The generator is an AC generator with it's own DC exciter, the inner com is the exciter and the end slip rings are the AC output. No external voltage is needed.

I have purchased a generator set (another Stuart Turner), it has two generators, one mounted on top of the other, small one on top produces 110 volts and the larger one produces 230 volts @ 3KV....
