It's been restored so there is the possibility it's a replacement cylinder off of a genset engine.
The serial number is also sometimes stamped on the crankcase on a flat near the dipstick hole.

It's an impressive place though no longer maintained, mould is growing on the walls and is quite thick in places. Used to go down there quite often but wouldn't want to spend any long time down...

They aren't so fragile as some may think, only one of tend to worry about is my Stuart WD as it's made of mag alloy but the rest get a run and a blanket thrown over the top.

Thanks to Philip I now have a copy of the manual, and a nice manual it is, lovely drawings with thread details and lengths for every nut and bolt.

Neither does the ABC or Stuart WD, though the the skirt is drilled on the Stuart it does get a mist of oil out of the exhaust, rather than then have it seize up....
